Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings extends suspension

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has extended its suspension of cruising for nearly all voyages embarking between Aug. 1 and Sept. 30 for all three cruise brands (Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises).

However, Alaska cruises departing from Seattle in September will sail.

NCLH is also cancelling Canada/New England cruises and Pacific Coast cruises in October due to port restrictions in Canada. The Pacific Coast sailings were scheduled to depart from Vancouver.

Carnival Cruise Line

Carnival is planning to start some operations by May 11, according to a statement.

Royal Caribbean International

Royal Caribbean Cruises announced it has decided to extend the suspension of sailings of its global fleet. At this time, it aims to resume service where it can on May 12.

MSC Cruises

MSC Cruises has decided to further extend the pause of its cruise operation through May 29, according to a statement. This is due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the company said, extending its operations pause from April 30 for another month.

Norwegian Cruise Line

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings announced an extension of its previously announced voluntary suspension of all cruise voyages to include voyages embarking between April 12 and May 10, for its three cruise brands: Norwegian, Regent and Oceania.

Costa Cruises

Costa Cruises has extended the voluntary suspension of its cruises until April 30.

Princess Cruises

Princess plans to resume some cruise operations on May 11.

AIDA Cruises

AIDA has stopped operations through April 30.

Celebrity Cruises

Royal Caribbean Cruises announced it has decided to extend the suspension of sailings of its global fleet. At this time, it aims to resume service where it can on May 12.

Holland America Line

Holland America has cancelled sailings scheduled to depart through May 14.

TUI Cruises

TUI Cruises has paused operations through April 30.

Norwegian Joy

The Norwegian Joy is out of the drydock in Singapore and heading for the West Coast ahead of her debut into the booming Alaska cruise market.

After a year-and-a-half in the Chinese cruise business, the ship has been Westernized and will sail from Seattle for the summer season.

Norwegian Joy

MJM Marine was appointed as the main outfitting contractor by Norwegian Cruise Line for the refurbishment of Norwegian Joy as the company played the lead role in the design, manufacture, installation and project management of the interior refit of the ship.

While work began in early March in China, the ship’s Pacific crossing will be a working event with no guests, with interior renovations set to conclude later this month as the ship reaches Seattle.

Among new shows for guests will be Footloose along with the aerial acrobatics show, Elements, and the wine-tasting comedy, Wine Lovers: The Musical.
